Goodwin’s Riverstone Group pays $8M for Chesterfield offices

A local real estate firm is adding another office building to its growing collection.

The real estate arm of Bill Goodwin’s Riverstone Group earlier this month paid $8 million for the three-story, 59,000-square-foot CenterPointe Office Building at 1 Park West Circle in the company’s sprawling CenterPointe development in western Chesterfield County.

The deal brings the property, built in the late 1980s, back into the Riverstone family.

Goodwin’s CCA Industries previously owned the building and sold it in 2005 to Richmond-based Acclaim Properties for $6.8 million, said Andrew Pegalis, managing partner of Acclaim.

“It was the right time to sell,” Pegalis said. “It was very appealing to the buyer … They seemed pleased with the number of tenants fulfilling lease renewals and the overall condition of the property.”
